The purpose of this communication is to notify public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools of an update to the 2019–2020 91ȱ Testing Calendar. The 91ȱ received concerns regarding the 2019–2020 testing calendar. In response to those concerns, 91ȱ sought feedback from a broader group of district leaders, testing coordinators, and the Texas Association of School Administrators. Relying upon that feedback, a revised testing calendar is posted on the 91ȱ website at .
Specifically, 91ȱ received questions and input regarding the optional make-up testing that is scheduled to end on Friday, April 10, 2020. Based on feedback, 91ȱ is moving the date for the paper and online administration of the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) English II assessment one day earlier from Thursday, April 9 to Wednesday, April 8, 2020. This change allows districts and charter schools to conduct make-up testing for this assessment on Thursday, April 9.
If your district or charter school has previously received advice from 91ȱ regarding this issue, it may continue with its current testing plan based on that advice or move to the revised testing dates.
